ARC annual Cuban adventure cycle March 2010. This tour of Cuba is an amazing opportunity to see the beautiful and unspoilt Cuban countryside whilst getting a good workout and raising money for a great cause. The cycle has a total distance of 334km, starting in Havana then continues over to the western province of Pinar del Rio for five very different cycles. Anybody in good health can take part, with some cycle experience an advantage but not necessary as there will be some training prior to departure. Irish Student Health Association Conference 2010. Lectures will include: “Oral medicine” (open to all) by Dr Stephen Flint, Dublin Dental Hospital, and “The Returned Traveller” (open to all) by Dr Graham Fry, consultant in tropical medicine, Tropical Medical Bureau, Dublin. St Vincent’s University Hospital Annual GP Study Day. The British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS) Annual Workshop. This Workshop is a long-established training course in skin surgery and this is the first time that it is being held outside of the UK. The Workshop attracts delegates from throughout the world. Teaching is by leading members of the BSDS, with hands-on practical sessions with faculty members giving one-to-one tuition in skin surgery skills, and lectures covering skin surgery and cancer. The Workshop is aimed at trainees and  consultants in dermatology and plastic surgery, as well as GPs and colleagues from other disciplines with an interest in skin surgery.
